In the Arctic, there are four cities that is a must-go-to. Firstly, Greenland. Greenland is the world’s largest land mass, and most of it is part of the Arctic Circle. It has less than 60,000 people living in an 800,000 square miles area. Why is it a must-go-to place when ¾ of it is covered by ice? Because the view of the landscape is breathtaking. You can go kayaking, glacier walking, mountain climbing, polar bear and caribou watching. You will be surrounded with beautiful mountains, lakes and many more. Secondly, Svalbard, Norway. 2012, it had a population of 2,642, and is currently increasing. You can go dog sledding, skiing, mountain climbing, and snowboarding. There are also cottages, hotels, restaurants and pretty decent buildings that you can go to. Thirdly, Iceland, the total opposite of Greenland. In 2013, Iceland had a population of 323,002. In the summer, you can go trekking, ice climbing, glacier walking, wildlife tours, dog sled expeditiond and trips to beautiful, yet dangerous volcanoes. Last but not least, Lapland, Scandinavia. The Arctic is also known for the Northern Lights, and Lapland is one of the places you can see it. Looking at all the things you can do in the Arctic, it definitely proves that you can never get bored in the Arctic.
